Superfood Antioxidant Breakfast Oatmeal
This oatmeal is designed to not only fuel your workout or hold you over until lunch; it fights for your freedom against the Axis of Oxidants. Dutch cocoa has more antioxidants than red wine and green tea, and it’s cocoa. Dutch people are also the tallest and best looking in the world (Source: Science and my eyes). We’ll throw in some blueberries to further crush our oxidant enemies, some cinnamon to fight inflammation (and because it tastes awesome) and hemp seeds for hippie protein. I’m not saying that this is the perfect breakfast, but I’m also not saying that it’s not.
2 cups Rolled Oats (the 5 minute kind, not the instant or 45 minute Irish kind)
3 ½ cups Almond Milk
2 T unsweetened Dutch Cocoa
1 T ground cinnamon
2 cups blueberries
3 T hemp seeds
½ C pecans
Agave or Maple syrup to taste
Combine oats and almond milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer. Add the cinnamon, cocoa, nuts and seeds. Cook for 5 minutes
Remove from heat and stir in berries and sweetener. Let sit for 2 minutes.
